DarkMatter WiFi Security Auditing Software
A focused Linux wireless security workstation for discovering nearby WiFi infrastructure, observing client activity, conducting controlled assessment workflows, reviewing capture activity, and organizing the information needed for professional wireless security analysis.
Designed for security personnel, network administrators, IT professionals, penetration testers, and researchers working within systems they own or are explicitly authorized to assess.
Wireless visibility without the clutter
Goblin brings wireless discovery, target visibility, monitoring controls, audit execution, client observation, live status, and supporting data into a single desktop interface built around the way authorized wireless assessments are actually performed.
Survey nearby wireless infrastructure, identify access points, review channels, signal levels, encryption information, and organize targets before beginning an assessment.
Monitor discovered networks and associated client activity so the operator can build a clearer picture of the local wireless environment before taking further action.
Launch controlled wireless audit workflows from the selected interface and target while keeping configuration, status, and operator feedback visible in one place.
Use live output, target details, client counts, channel information, capture progress, and supporting security data to understand the condition of the network under test.
Explicit interface selection, monitor-mode handling, passive operation options, audit controls, stop actions, and configurable test behavior keep the operator in command of the workflow.
Preserve useful assessment information for later investigation, documentation, remediation work, or correlation with other security tooling and evidence.
Built for the field
Goblin is designed to reduce the constant switching between terminals, radio utilities, capture tools, status output, and target information that commonly accompanies wireless auditing.
The application provides a desktop layer around the underlying wireless workflow while keeping important technical details visible. It is intended to assist an experienced operator, not replace operator judgment.
Authorization matters
Goblin is a security auditing application. Some workflows can actively interact with wireless networks and connected devices. Use of those capabilities must remain within the scope of explicit authorization.
Operate Goblin only on wireless infrastructure you own or have explicit permission to test. Permission should define the systems, locations, time window, test methods, and acceptable impact before active assessment begins.
Security teams should coordinate testing with the responsible network owner and maintain a clear assessment scope. Production environments may require maintenance windows, monitoring, rollback planning, and additional approval.
Active wireless testing can disrupt connectivity. Authentication tests, capture workflows, radio-mode changes, and other assessment actions can affect users or infrastructure when used incorrectly or outside a controlled scope.
Do not use Goblin to access, interfere with, capture from, or test third-party networks without authorization. The operator remains responsible for compliance with applicable law, policy, contracts, and engagement rules.
Who it is for
Goblin is intended for people who already understand wireless networking and security fundamentals: security engineers, network administrators, penetration testers, incident responders, infrastructure teams, auditors, and authorized researchers.
It is not positioned as a one-click consumer utility. Wireless assessment still requires knowledge of interfaces, monitor mode, channels, encryption, captures, client behavior, tool dependencies, and the operational consequences of active testing.
Environment
Goblin is built around Linux wireless tooling and expects compatible wireless hardware, appropriate system privileges, and the supporting utilities required by the audit workflows being used.
Hardware and driver capabilities vary. A wireless adapter that supports the required monitor or injection capabilities may be necessary for particular assessment functions.
