Required Data Access
Connect AEGIR to AISStream.
AEGIR uses AISStream as its live AIS data provider. Before receiving vessel data, obtain your own AISStream API key and enter it into the application.
AISStream access is managed independently from AEGIR and remains subject to the service provider's availability, terms, limits and policies.
Get Your AISStream API Key01. Visit AISStream and create or access your account.
02. Obtain an AISStream API key.
03. Launch AEGIR and enter your API credentials where requested.
04. Connect and begin receiving available live vessel reports.

Getting Underway
Run AEGIR on Linux.
The compiled package is intended to make deployment straightforward. Extract the archive, ensure the executable has permission to run and launch the application.

Data availability: AEGIR displays information received from external AIS data services. Vessel visibility depends on the data supplied to the application and should not be treated as a guaranteed representation of every vessel, position or maritime event.
