XIDE is being developed as a living CLI workspace rather than a traditional heavyweight IDE. Public details remain intentionally limited while the architecture is still evolving.

The terminal is not a fallback interface. It is the primary operating surface: fast, scriptable, direct, and friendly to SSH and remote sessions.

Modular Core

Capabilities remain compact and separable. Modules can be detected, enabled, and loaded without turning the core application into a monolith.

Network Aware

XIDE is designed to understand where it is running, expose its working state, and participate in controlled multi-machine development workflows.

Low Overhead

No decorative shell is required for the core workflow. Resources stay focused on development tasks, tools, modules, and active sessions.

Runtime configuration, module state, version information, and endpoint awareness are treated as active operational data rather than buried preferences.

DarkForge DNA

XIDE inherits the modular thinking developed through DarkForge, but strips the experience down into a transportable command-line environment.

The goal is not to imitate a graphical IDE inside a terminal. XIDE treats modules, configuration, connectivity, and command execution as a coherent command-line system.

03 / Development Channel

Alive, but not exposed.

XIDE is functional enough to demonstrate its direction, but early enough that internals, remote behavior, and update mechanisms are not being published in detail.

A stealthy, efficient, network-aware development environment for operators who would rather carry a capable terminal than a suitcase full of GUI chrome. The project is currently focused on core stability, module discipline, version awareness, endpoint communication, and controlled multi-machine workflows.
